We have changed the whatsapp template and the delivery rates have come back to normal. Hurrah!

Update

WhatsApp thinks some of the messages from Spike fall into their Marketing category and thus blocked from sending them.

From our understanding, this could be because of the static to dynamic text ratio.

We have changed the WhatsApp incident messaging formats so their bots can continue sending messages from Spike.

Identified

We are currently investigating the WhatsApp alerts incident. So far we know it's affecting a small subset of users. The variables at play is not user's geographic location or internet connections.

More updates to come soon.
